Greengrass is based in Claydon near Ipswich and Brantham near Manningtree. From these two bases, we serve homeowners and businesses across a wide area of Suffolk and north Essex.
Our coverage area varies depending on the type of service. Because lawn care and regular garden maintenance work involves frequent visits, we keep those routes tight to remain efficient and competitive on pricing. For one-off landscaping projects and commercial contracts, which are planned well in advance, we can travel further across the region.

Lawn Care and Regular Garden Maintenance
Our lawn care and residential garden maintenance services are available within approximately 30 minutes of our Ipswich and Colchester bases. If you live in one of these areas and are looking for regular lawn care, seasonal lawn treatments or ongoing garden maintenance, we would be glad to hear from you.
Soft Landscaping and Commercial Work
For residential and commercial soft landscaping projects and commercial grounds maintenance contracts, we work across a wider area of Suffolk and north Essex, typically within around 60 minutes of our two bases. The areas we cover includes all of the towns listed and we also can extend onwards to Bishops Stortford, Harlow and Epping for larger projects.

What We Do and What We Don’t
Greengrass specialise in soft landscaping, which covers all work involving plants, turf, soil and living materials. This includes:
- Garden design, planting schemes and complete garden transformations
- Turf laying and lawn installation
- Soft landscaping for commercial premises and public spaces
- Grounds maintenance contracts for residential and commercial clients
- Lawn care treatments, scarification, aeration and renovation
- Tree and hedging work as part of a landscaping scheme
- Garden clearance and waste management
We do not undertake hard landscaping, which includes patios, paving, block paving, driveways, decking or fencing. If you are looking for this type of work, you will need a specialist hard landscaping contractor. We are always happy to recommend a reputable specialist if we can and to work in conjunction with them to complete projects on time.
